Our Story

Why SRM Pilot was built.
SRM Pilot was built to provide practical, structured decision tools for single-pilot operations, bridging human factors theory into real cockpit use. SRM is used to strengthen pilot decision-making, situational awareness, and confidence in the cockpit.
Through years of operational flying, instruction, and exposure to high-workload aviation environments, one pattern became clear: what consistently separates safe, effective pilots from those who struggle, is not experience alone, it is the ability to manage workload, recognise threats early, and make clear decisions under pressure.
These skills are not instinctive.
They are trained, refined, and deliberately developed.
SRM Pilot exists to provide structured, evidence-informed training that develops those skills in a way that reflects how pilots actually operate.
Why We Exist
Single-pilot flying places more responsibility on the individual pilot than almost any other operational environment.
In single-pilot operations, you are simultaneously the:
-
Pilot
-
Planner
-
Communicator
-
Risk manager
-
Decision-maker
-
Final line of defence
For many pilots, these demands show up as rising workload, stress, fixation, or degraded situational awareness, particularly in General Aviation (GA), Instrument Flying (IFR), survey, and commercial single-pilot operations.
SRM Pilot exists to give pilots the mental models, practical tools, and confidence to stay ahead of the aircraft.
Not reacting — anticipating.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is simple:
Good decisions start long before the cockpit.
Great airmanship is built by developing the human behind the controls.
We train pilots to:
-
Think clearly under pressure
-
Use structured decision-making tools
-
Manage threat and error deliberately
-
Maintain situational awareness
-
Stay in control of workload, automation, and priorities
-
Build confidence through preparation, not bravado
SRM Pilot blends real-world aviation experience, human-factors research, and safety science with realistic operational scenarios.
The result is training that is practical, relevant, and immediately transferable to everyday flying.
Who We Serve
SRM Pilot training is designed for pilots operating across general aviation and commercial environments, including:
-
Student and private pilots
-
CPL and ATPL students
-
Flight instructors and flight schools
-
Charter and survey pilots
-
GA operators
-
Pilots flying single-pilot IFR or high-workload missions
Our goal is simple:
To develop safer, more confident pilots across every corner of aviation.
A Message From the Founder
“After years of flying, teaching, and operating in demanding environments, I saw first-hand that pilot confidence doesn’t come from bravado, it comes from clarity. Clarity in your thinking, your situational awareness, and your ability to manage what’s in front of you. SRM is the foundation of that clarity, and my mission is to give every pilot access to it.”— Tammy Camilleri, Founder SRMPilot
